THE ROCKS DOG PARK
Now Open. Located on the north slope of Yerba Buena Island above Clipper Cove, The Rocks Dog Park provides panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay, the East Bay hills and the Bay Bridge. The park is nestled into the hillside through the use of native Greywacke boulders salvaged during the island’s redevelopment. The boulders frame the dog run and park spaces and form alcoves for visitors and their dogs to mingle and enjoy the welcoming scenic park. The park’s planting palette includes native species from the coastal scrub plant community, and aligns with the Yerba Buena Island Habitat Management Plan.

Bay FC, the Bay Area’s National Women’s Soccer League franchise, is set to build an 8.5-acre training facility on Treasure Island, solidifying the island’s role as a premier sports and recreation destination. The facility will feature a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse and three practice fields, with construction starting in 2025 and operations expected by the 2027 season. This development comes amidst Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island’s transformation into a vibrant new community, set to include 8,000 diverse residences, 300 acres of open space and natural beaches, 22 miles of walking and hiking trails, 14 miles of bike paths, and a vibrant mix of restaurants, boutique retail storefronts, and cultural and office spaces.
