Isle House: San Francisco’s First Waterfront High-Rise on Treasure Island Begins Pre-Leasing Ahead of Fall 2024 Move-Ins
Published on June 24, 2024
Visionary San Francisco developer Wilson Meany and real estate investment firm Stockbridge Capital Group today announced the start of pre-leasing at Isle House, a dynamic waterfront residential tower and the first high-rise on San Francisco’s Treasure Island. Completion of construction and first move-ins are slated for August 2024. The David Baker Architects-designed 22-Story high-rise prioritizes pedestrians and bicycles over cars, and offers residents a serene, natural escape with 360-degree Bay, city, and landmark Views—just an eight-minute ferry ride to Downtown San Francisco.
Isle House is the newest residential community on Treasure Island since Treasure Island Community Development (TICD), a partnership between Wilson Meany, Stockbridge Capital Group, and Lennar Corporation, began transforming the island into a vibrant, sustainable, and connected waterfront community. When completed, this transformation will feature 8,000 new homes, 300 acres of new parks, trails, and open space, and a vibrant mix of restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions set amidst stunning views of downtown San Francisco, Angel Island, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin Headlands, Yerba Buena Island, Point of Infinity and the Bay Bridge.
“Isle House represents a giant step forward in making Treasure Island a vibrant, sustainable, new community,” said Chris Meany, Managing Partner at Wilson Meany, the co-developer of Isle House along with Stockbridge Capital Group. “With Isle House, an additional 250 view homes open on Treasure Island, a portion of the ~1,000 new homes that are opening over the next year. These homes are the housing option San Franciscans need. Minutes from business in SoMa and downtown, with technology and amenities for our sophisticated local workforce, and parks and the Bay offering a lifestyle that can’t be matched. The unparalleled views of Downtown San Francisco, the Bay and its bridges are stunning. Plus, the convenience of ferry life makes commuting a breeze and adds a unique charm to living here.”
Located at 39 Burton Street at the intersection of Avenue of the Palms—and just steps away from Treasure Island Waterfront Plaza, Cityside Park, and the Ferry Terminal—Isle House is a monumental moment in Treasure Island becoming a global model for innovative urban living.
Designed by David Baker Architects and rising 22 stories, the waterfront community features 250 studio, two- and three-bedroom apartments for lease, nine two-level live-work townhomes with private entries, 1,140 square feet of street-level retail space, and a verdantly landscaped central courtyard. With a sawtooth façade, the dynamic tower maximizes views of the city’s iconic Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge—as well as the San Francisco skyline.
The residences at Isle House are designed with contemporary aesthetics and high-end finishes. Living areas feature spacious open-plan interiors with panoramic bay and island views, contemporary design with warm palettes, and oversized windows with light-filtering treatments. Select homes offer patios and dens, while all residences boast expansive closets.
Kitchens at Isle House are equipped with quartz countertops, Samsung and Blomberg appliance suites, integrated dishwashers, open shelving, stacked bond tile backsplashes, custom cabinetry, brushed nickel faucets, Bosch washers and dryers, and luxury plank flooring. Bathrooms feature quartz countertops, undermount sinks, floating vanities, ceramic tile, large vanity mirrors, and modern lighting.
Inspired by the California lifestyle and the natural surroundings of Treasure Island, Isle House offers a comprehensive suite of amenities designed to inspire and connect residents. The radiant lobby lounge features modern Shou Sugi Ban-style walls, white oak millwork banquette seating, a Fireclay tile wall with accent tiles handmade by architect David Baker, and private co-working suites. The cutting-edge fitness studio is distinguished by inspiring, sweeping views and equipped with cardio and strength-training equipment and free weights and complemented by a serene yoga studio and a wellness lounge. Topping the seventh-story podium, the expansive landscape roof deck offers rich outdoor amenities—a fireside area, library, den, bar area, grills, al fresco dining space—fully immersed in spectacular bay vistas.
Additional amenities include an 24-hour attended lobby, a package room with refrigerated storage for grocery and meal deliveries, a controlled-access parking garage (available at an additional cost), a private electric car-share program, EV charging stations, secure covered bicycle storage, and an on-site pet spa. Service amenities include resident programming, events, and exclusive partnership offers. Adding to these conveniences, a central courtyard spans about 5,000 square feet, creating a sheltered, welcoming green space for relaxation and social interaction.
“We wanted to capture the incredible views and bring all of these horizons into the building,” says architect Pedram Farashbandi, AIA, Principal at David Baker Architects. “Our design concept focused on capturing the best views from every perspective. We knew that every home and amenity space would enjoy their own unique view— but we also wanted to create opportunities for everyone to experience different views as they move through the building. The elevator lobbies and hallways look out across the island, city, and bay in every direction, and the seventh-floor rooftop community suite offers a 360-degree panorama.”
The 220-foot high-rise is bounded to the north by the Garden Walk, a dynamic shared public way that extends through all sites in this first phase of development on Treasure Island. Integrated into a socially oriented network of parks and public spaces designed by award-winning San Francisco firm CMG Landscape Architects, Isle House is accessed by a shared passage that emphasizes pedestrians and bicyclists over cars, promoting a sustainable and community-focused lifestyle, and connects all buildings and enhances resident interactions.
